So this weekend... we were at Best Buy picking up bluetooth adapters for our computers. I had bought wireless headsets for our computers as an anniversary gift and we needed the bluetooth adapters to make the headsets work. At the checkout I saw The X-Files... all of the seasons for $20 EACH!! I was so excited!! They used to be $140 per season! So I grabbed a couple and headed to meet Darren further down the line. Here's our conversation:
Me: "Look!! Look!! They have X-Files for $20 a season!! We should get some!!"
Darren: "I know. No."
Me: "But but but... you can get the whole show for what one season used to cost!!"
Darren: "I know. NO."
Then it sinks in...
And today I got X-Files Season 1 for an anniversary gift, and when I mentioned that I already had that one (purchased a couple of years ago...) he said "Just a minute..." and went upstairs and brought back Season 2!
My Birthday is in a week - I wonder what I'm getting for my Birthday... Darren says "Could be anything!" I'm so excited... I LOVED that show!
I love that guy, he totally rocks!!
(And he is now cursing Best Buy for putting the DVDs right at the checkout where I couldn't miss them... nothing like have a great gift spoiled by marketing ploys!)
